Association is headquartered in Washington, DC - 324 East Capitol
Street, 20003-3897, telephone (202) 543-1661 and ultimately
represents some 17,000 small businessmen and women who contract
with the United States Postal Service for the over-the-highway
transportation of the mail.
The Association
is non-profit and its major goal is to provide legislative
and regulatory protection to its members as well as a primary
interest in their general welfare. It is the only official
organization recognized by the U.S. Postal Service, the U.S.
Congress, the Department of Labor, the Department of Transportation
and other federal and state agencies to represent and speak
in behalf of the nation's USPS Highway Contractors.
Organizationally,
the Association is comprised of a sixteen-member Board of
Directors providing representation in all parts of the country
and branches in the fifty states. The National Office is headed
up by Executive Director John V. "Skip" Maraney
along with his staff, Alicia Brehm, Pat Dixon and Edie Young-Scales
and provides invaluable assistance to members in the form
of information, question answering, and help with problems
members may be experiencing with their respective Contracting
Officer, Administrative Postmasters, and/or other USPS Officials.
The Association

general and legal assistance and which members may call for
