COVID-19 Updates

The coronavirus pandemic information will be contained on this page.  The USPS and many agency have issued policy and procedures as it relates to the containment of the virus.  Certainly all members should do what they can to help prevent the spread of the virus.  Sanitation, social distancing and limiting group activities until this passes.

The USPS has contacted NSRMCA to ask for assistance in communicating important COVID-19 information.  In the interest of protecting suppliers and employees, the USPS is requesting immediate notification to them if you have an employee who has been in contact with USPS employees or has been in USPS facilities who has been diagnosed with a presumptive or confirmed positive case of COVID-19.  Include the following details when responding to the USPS:

  • Date
  • Location(s)
  • Times of potential or actual exposure

This information should be forwarded to your Administrative Official/Transportation Manager and the Contracting Officer.  It is critical that any potential exposure to USPS employees or facilities be reported immediately.

In addition, each of you should have recently received a letter from your contracting office detailing that the USPS and its HCR suppliers provide essential services and are covered within that designation if questioned by local law enforcement in performing contract work.

Members are reminded to review CDC guidance and maintain appropriate procedures for the protection of your employees.
